Diclofenac Sodium, Linseed Oil, Methyl Salicylate and Menthol Gel

 

Composition

Diclofenac Diethylamine BP 1.1 6% w/w

Eq. to Diclofenac Sodium BP 1.00% w/w

Linseed Oil BP (Containing Predominantly Alfa-Linolenic Acid) 3% w/w

Methyl Salicylate BP 10% w/w

Menthol BP 5% w/w

Gel Base Q.S.

 

INDICATIONS

KRISHAT Relief Gel is indicated for the treatment of sprains, strains, bruises, soft tissue rheumatism. KRISHAT Relief Gel is a warming non-staining, quick relief gel indicated in aches and pains of joints and muscles associated with arthritis, backaches rheumatism, fibrositis, lumbago, sciatica, stiffneck, as a home treatment for stiff nose, aching feet, tennis elbow, rheumatic pain, bruises.

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

KRISHAT Relief Gel is contraindicated in individuals having hypersensitivity to the drug.

 

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Commonly found adverse reactions with KRISHAT Relief Gel is dermatitis, local irritation, erythema, photosensitivity and Pruritus.

No serious adverse reactions have been reported with the use of KRISHAT Relief Gel.

 

DOSAGE

Apply 2-3 times a day to the affected area or as directed by the Physician. Gently massage KRISHAT Relief Gel into the affected area until penetration of the gel is complete. Spread KRISHAT Relief Gel generously over the area of the pain. Using the finger tips of both hands, gently but firmly massage the gel into the skin. Work the finger tips in a circular motion and move outwards from the center of pain to surrounding areas. Continue massage until KRISHAT Relief Gel has disappeared completely into the skin.

Apply as often as necessary. Not to be used on children. Discontinue use if excess irritation occurs.

 

OVERDOSAGE

Due to the low systemic absorption of topically applied KRISHAT Reliet Gel, overdosage is unlikely. There have been no reports of ingestion of KRISHAT Relief Gel.

 

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

KRISHAT Relief Gel should be used with caution in patients of vitamin K deficiency, hypothrombinemia, liver disease before surgery. It is not to be applied on wounds and broken skin. To be used under medical supervision during pregnancy and lactation.

These preparations are for external use only. As the drug in topical analgesics may produce irritation they should not be applied near eyes, on mucus membrane or on inflamed skin. If KRISHAT Relief Gel accidently comes into contact with eyes or mouth, wash thoroughly with plenty of water. KRISHAT Relief Gel should be used with caution in nursing mother.

 

DRUG INTERACTIONS

None have been reported on local application. Avoid using other topical medications, harsh or abrasive soaps of cosmetics on the affected area.

 

STORAGE CONDITION

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

Do not freeze. Protect from light.

Keep out of reach of Children.

Good day ,I just rub krishat relief gel on my wife back which was paining her ,few minutes after she started to fill cool in her body and almost die , but I dress her warm and give her a cup of hot tea ,she started filling warm again ,what is the cause of this ? The first time I use this drug on her it was OK ,but this time ,I don’t know what happen,

    1. Simon this must be an adverse reaction probably because of food or other medication she has taken prior to the use of Krishat Relief Gel. Please report the incidence to the pharmacist you bought the medication from, who should in turn inform the manufacturer of the occurrence to enable update of the medication data.
