COMPOUND MAGNESIUM TRISILICATE TABLETS B.P.
Composition
Each tablet contains:
Magnesium Trisilicate B.P. 250 mg
Dried Aluminium Hydroxide B.P. 120 mg
Peppermint Flavour
Actions
Both magnesium trisilicate and aluminium hydroxide buffer the hydrochloric acid produced in the stomach. The net effect is the reduction in gastric acidity and reduction in pepsin activity.
Indications
Compound Magnesium Trisilicate is indicated for the management of hyperactivity, heartburn, dyspepsia, peptic ulcer disease and reflux Oesophagitis.
Dosage
1-2 tablets after each meal and at bedtime. The frequency of dosage may be increased depending upon the severity of the symptoms.
Side Effects
Antacids are generally well tolerated. Constipation and diarrhoea may occur in some cases.
Contraindication
There is no contraindication for the use of antacids except in kidney disease.
Presentation
Jar of 1000 tablets.
12 x 8 tablets per monocarton.
